In the past, the organization distributed anti-Semitic caricatures of Jews as part of its anti-Israel propaganda efforts. It is a group that has never heard of any human right for Jews that needs defending, nor any Arab atrocity against Jews that needs condemning. Bentwich, who runs the group, is mainly in Ben Gurion University's health sciences department but also teaches a leftwing propaganda course in the politics department. Bentwich is active in lots of anti-Israel activities, including a group working for the "Palestinian Right of Return." Physicians for Human Rights was once run by Neve Gordon, BGU's most notorious anti-Semite and supporter of Arab terrorism. The article by Yemini demolishing Bentwich is only in Hebrew, here. But it puts the lie once again to Ben Gurion University's cabbagehead President, Rivka Carmi, and her idiotic claims that "only Neve Gordon" is the problem, that there are no other leftwing extremists teaching in the politics department or in Ben Gurion University. Now it turns out that even people teaching "politics" who come from Health Sciences are leftwing anti-Israel propagandists. As it turns out, ONLY leftwing propagandists teach in the university's politics department. Carmi sent out a letter on Jan. 16, 2011 to donors to her university containing lies and smears, including vile personal attacks against me. Carmi claims there that, other than Neve Gordon, Ben Gurion University has no problem at all of tenured anti-Israel propagandists on its faculty. In her raving smear letter, Carmi writes: "It is this man Plaut who keeps bashing BGU with unfounded lies about the BGU faculty." Rivka, meet Ben Dror Yemini! Well, what REALLY upsets the Cabbagehead is my publishing founded truths about the BGU faculty, namely, that it is crawling with anti-Israel leftist extremists, that entire departments at BGU have been subverted and converted into anti-Israel indoctrination centers, and that in many parts of the university academic standards have been trashed in order to fill the ranks of the faculty with anti-Israel extremists and pseudo-scholars. What really upsets Carmi is the painful truth!
